Data Deletion Instructions

At Swasth, you have full control over your data. This page explains how to delete your account and all associated personal data.

Method 1: Delete Through the App

1. Open the Swasth app on your device
2. Go to Settings (gear icon)
3. Navigate to Account
4. Tap Delete Account
5. Confirm by entering your password or verifying via OTP
6. Your account and all associated data will be scheduled for permanent deletion

Method 2: Request via Email

If you cannot access the app, send a deletion request to:

privacy@swasth.health

Include the following in your email:

• Subject line: "Data Deletion Request"
• Your registered email address or phone number
• Confirmation that you want to permanently delete your account and all data

We will process your request within 30 days and send a confirmation email once deletion is complete.

What Gets Deleted

When your account is deleted, we permanently remove:

• Personal profile information (name, email, phone, photo)
• All health records and vital sign data
• Medication history and schedules
• Appointment records
• Telehealth consultation data
• Health goals and tracking data
• App preferences and settings
• Authentication tokens and session data

What We May Retain

We may retain certain data as required by law or for legitimate business purposes:

• Transaction records (required for financial compliance)
• Aggregated, anonymized analytics data (cannot be traced back to you)
• Communications with support (retained for quality purposes, with PII redacted after 90 days)

Timeline

• Immediate: Your account is deactivated and you lose access to the Service
• Within 7 days: Active data is purged from primary databases
• Within 30 days: All data is permanently deleted from backups and secondary systems
• Confirmation: You receive an email confirmation once deletion is complete

Third-Party Account Data

If you signed in using Google or Apple, deleting your Swasth account does NOT delete your Google or Apple account. To manage your Google data, visit Google Data & Privacy.
